Ayumi Terms of Use

Important: Ayumi's core features read health information from Apple Health / HealthKit, specifically step count data, after you grant permission. Steps are used to grow crystals, show step statistics, trigger related reminders, and generate share cards. You can deny or revoke HealthKit permission; features that depend on steps may stop updating normally after permission is revoked.

1. Acceptance

Welcome to Ayumi (the "App"). The App is provided by Rocinante Venture Studio ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and the Ayumi Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using and delete the App.

If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies unless we provide a custom EULA through App Store Connect. These Terms explain Ayumi-specific service rules and supplement the applicable Apple terms to the extent they do not conflict.

2. Service

Ayumi is a lightweight wellness and collection app that combines walking with crystal growth. The current version includes:

The App does not currently require visible account registration. To process purchases, restore purchases, and sync entitlements, it may create or restore a Supabase anonymous technical session and use that technical user ID with RevenueCat and our server-side entitlement ledger. The App does not provide medical diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment, emergency response, or professional health management services.

3. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity required by the laws of your location to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you should use the App only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.

The App is not designed for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it where reasonably possible.

4. Health and Safety Notice

Steps, progress, fortune text, notifications, and crystal energy messages shown in the App are for entertainment, habit building, and general wellness recordkeeping only. They are not medical, psychological, fitness training, or other professional advice.

HealthKit or device step data may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. You are responsible for choosing an activity level appropriate for your body and circumstances. If you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy, treatment plan, or concerns about exercise safety, consult a qualified professional first.

For a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

5. HealthKit and Permissions

With your authorization, the App reads health information from HealthKit, specifically step count data. We only request read access to step counts needed for crystal growth, and we do not write health data to HealthKit.

You may deny permission or revoke it later in iOS Settings or the Health app. If permission is revoked, crystal growth, step statistics, and related reminders may not update normally.

We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, data trading, or data mining unrelated to App functionality.

6. Local Data and User Content

The App stores crystal growth progress, completed crystals, crystal names, settings preferences, widget snapshots, and similar data locally on your device.

You may name completed crystals and generate share cards through the system share sheet or save them to Photos. You are responsible for ensuring that content you enter or share does not violate the rights of others and does not contain illegal, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, explicit, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate content.

When you choose to send a share card to a third-party app or platform, that third party handles the content under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Accounts and Cloud Services

The current version does not require you to create or sign in to a visible account. Core crystal growth data is stored locally on your device by default.

To process subscriptions, premium packs, purchase restoration, and entitlement sync, the App may create or restore a Supabase anonymous technical session. The session's user ID is used as the RevenueCat appUserID and as the user identifier in our server-side entitlement ledger. This identifier is used to confirm purchase status, avoid duplicate grants or duplicate premium pack consumption, and handle refunds or restoration. It is not used to upload HealthKit steps or cloud-sync your crystal collection.

If we later provide visible accounts, cloud sync, backup, AI image generation, or other new online features, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy before enabling them and obtain consent where required.

8. Notifications and Widgets

You may enable daily fortune reminders and crystal growth reminders. Notifications are controlled by iOS system permissions and can be turned off in the App settings or iOS Settings at any time.

Widgets display crystal state or empty state information using local snapshot data. They do not represent real-time medical or health status.

9. Paid Features

The current version offers Apple App Store in-app purchases:

All applicable digital content and features are sold through Apple in-app purchase. Apple processes payment, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and applicable family sharing rules. We do not access your payment card number or bank account information.

You can manage or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions through your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Restore purchases mainly restores non-consumable subscription entitlement; consumed premium packs are not re-granted through restore. After a purchase, restore, or subscription status change, the App syncs RevenueCat and our server-side entitlement ledger.

10. Intellectual Property

The App and its software, interface, graphics, text, brand, audiovisual materials, design, data structures, and other content are owned by us or our licensors, except for content you provide.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Unless expressly permitted by law or by us in writing, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, rent, distribute, scrape, bulk export, or otherwise exploit the App or its content.

12. Third-Party Services

The App may use Apple Health / HealthKit, Apple Photos, UserNotifications, WidgetKit, the App Store, the system share sheet, mail clients, and other operating system features. It may also use Supabase, RevenueCat, Firebase, Tenjin, or similar services for authentication, purchase entitlements, analytics, or ad attribution. Third-party platforms, device systems, and services are responsible for their own availability, rules, and data practices.

If you communicate with us or others through the share sheet, email, or other third-party services, the relevant third-party terms and privacy policies also apply.

13. Changes and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App for product, compliance, security, or operational reasons. For material changes, we will provide notice through the App, release notes, website, or other reasonable means.

If you violate these Terms, we may restrict or terminate your right to use the App to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using and delete the App at any time. Deleting the App usually deletes most local data stored in the App sandbox on that device, but system backups, Photos, third-party platforms, and information you have sent to us may not be deleted automatically.

14. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep the App stable and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, meet your expectations, or that device / HealthKit data will always be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the App, third-party services, device failures, data inaccuracies, content you share, or force majeure events.

15. Updates

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and provide reasonable notice for material changes. Continuing to use the App after an update becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.
